  9. Stop the specified Internet server, rejecting any further remote
  10. connect requests.  Existing connections are allowed to complete
  11. normally.

  13. For example, you could enter 'stop telnet' if you expect to be
  14. unavailable to respond to a Telnet request.  Then, when anyone
  15. tries to telnet to you, they will get the message "Closed
  16. (Reset)."  This is not the most informative message, but possibly
  17. better than waiting endlessly to see if you will respond to the
  18. telnet request.
